Why is eNewsletter Pro only delivering to
some domains?
If
you notice a large number of failures and are
sure the email addresses are correct, your
messages may be failing because of the way you
named your computer. If you look inside
the EasyMail log files (\Program Files\eNewsletterPro\LogFiles\)
you may notice a number of "2000 3"
errors.
How do I
resolve this?
Right click
on My Computer from the server's desktop and
select properties.
Click on the
Network Identification Tab.
Take note of
the "Full computer name:".
If the computer name ends in a period and
does not contain a domain name then some of
your messages will be rejected from some
mail servers as they cannot resolve you as
being a valid email server. In the
picture above the computer name is "joewrkstn."
To fix the
problem, click the Properties button.
On the
Identification Changes screen that appears,
click the More.. button.
Enter a DNS
suffix under "Primary DNS Suffix for
this computer." For example,
if you web site is "domain.com"
then enter "domain.com"
Click OK
twice and now your setting should be
correct. You will need to reboot the
server before the settings take
affect. Your computer name should now
be "computername.domain.com".
